Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates Certification course can be done as a stand alone certification or as part of the comprehensive program. The certification includes beginner, intermediate and advanced exercises that follow the classical order. Course requirements for obtaining the Mat Pilates Certification as a stand alone are as follows: 45 personal practice hours, 60 apprentice teaching hours, 15 observation hours, written exam, practical exam (teach 55 min mat class), along with the classroom hours.
Reformer Level 1
Reformer Level 1 course is offered in the same weekend as Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector. Course includes a beginner level classical order as well as additional contemporary exercises. Reformer 1 requirements are as follows: 30 personal practice hours, 25 apprentice teaching hours, 10 observation hours. You will only test out and become certified after completing all 3 levels. We do not individually certify each level. Testing out will involve a written exam, completion of a case study and a practical exam (teaching a 55 minute private reformer session)
Reformer Level 2
Reformer Level 2 course is offered in the same weekend as Cadillac. Course includes an intermediate level classical order as well as additional contemporary exercises. Reformer 2 requirements are as follows: 30 personal practice hours, 25 apprentice teaching hours, 10 observation hours. You will only test out and become certified after completing all 3 levels. We do not individually certify each level. Testing out will involve a written exam, completion of a case study and a practical exam (teaching a 55 minute private reformer session)
Reformer Level 3
Reformer Level 3 course is offered in the same weekend as Chair. Course includes an advanced level classical order as well as additional contemporary exercises. Reformer 3 requirements are as follows: 15 personal practice hours, 15 apprentice teaching hours, 10 observation hours. You will only test out and become certified after completing all 3 levels. We do not individually certify each level. Testing out will involve a written exam, completion of a case study and a practical exam (teaching a 55 minute private reformer session)
Ladder Barrel & Spine Corrector
Ladder Barrel & Spine Corrector & Magic Circle course is offered in the same weekend as Reformer Level 1. Course includes an both classical as well as additional contemporary exercises. Spine Corrector & Ladder barrel & Magic Circle requirements are as follows: 25 personal practice hours, 15 apprentice teaching hours, 9 observation hours. You will only test out and become certified after completing all 3 levels of Reformer along with ALL other equipment. We do not individually certify each level or piece of equipment. Testing out will involve a written exam, completion of a case study and a practical exam (teaching a 55 minute private equipment session to include all equipment except Reformer)
Cadillac
Cadillac course is offered in the same weekend as Reformer Level 2. Course includes an both classical as well as additional contemporary exercises. Cadillac requirements are included in the Reformer Level 2 requirements which are as follows: 25 personal practice hours, 25 apprentice teaching hours, 18 observation hours. You will only test out and become certified after completing all 3 levels of Reformer along with ALL other equipment. We do not individually certify each level or piece of equipment. Testing out will involve a written exam, completion of a case study and a practical exam (teaching a 55 minute private equipment session include all equipment except Reformer)
Chair
Chair course is offered in the same weekend as Reformer Level 3. Course includes an both classical as well as additional contemporary exercises. Chair requirements are included in the Reformer Level 3 requirements which are as follows: 25 personal practice hours, 25 apprentice teaching hours, 18 observation hours. You will only test out and become certified after completing all 3 levels of Reformer along with ALL other equipment. We do not individually certify each level or piece of equipment. Testing out will involve a written exam, completion of a case study and a practical exam (teaching a 55 minute private equipment session include all equipment except Reformer)
Comprehensive Certification
In order to be comprehensively certified the Mat course along with all Equipment and Reformer courses and requirements must be met. The total hours for the entire program are as follows: 195 personal practice hours, 190 apprentice teaching hours, 90 observation hours, written exam (to include the Equipment/Reformer and the Mat exams), practical Reformer exam (teach 55 min private Reformer lesson), practical Equipment exam (teach 55 min private equipment lesson) and practical Mat exam (55 min mat class), case study, along with the classroom hours. The tests and case study only need to be done once for the entire program - not for each level or piece of equipment.
Physical Therapist Course
We offer a less intensive option for PT Offices wishing to bring Pilates in without having to be a fully certified instructor. The student would still attend all 4 weekends with an instructor as well as 25 hours of studio observation and 75 hours of personal practice along with 50 hours of practice teaching. There will be no test out and the student would not be comprehensively certified, however they would obtain all materials and experience needed to introduce Pilates to their Physical Therapy studio. The cost for this version is $3,500 for complete program. There will be a test out option to become fully certified offered at the completion of the PT program offered only upon request.
Barre
Barre course is offered as a stand alone certification. The classroom hours are done in two days, generally a weekend. BarreSOL is a ballet based fitness class. Principles of Pilates are applied to class design in order to keep students safe and fit. Barre certification requirements are as follows: 20 personal practice hours, 20 practice teaching hours, 10 observation hours, practical exam (teach 55 min barre class).
